Introduction to hardware and software components in IoT, microcontrollers – Arduino, Raspberry pi, sensors – temperature, pressure, force, vibration. GPIO pins and specifications. Practical: 1. Introduction to hardware and software components in IoT 2. microcontrollers – Arduino UNO and MEGA 3. GPIO pins and specifications in Raspberry Pi 4. FUNDAMENTAL OF IoT

Theory: Overview of IoT components ;Various Architectures of IoT and IIoT, Advantages & disadvantages, Industrial Internet - Reference Architecture; IIoT System components: Sensors, Gateways, Routers, Modem, Cloud brokers, servers and its integration, WSN, WSN network design for IoT. Wireless communication of IoT microcontrollers – Bluetooth, WiFi, RFID. Data Reduction and Analysis Techniques - Dimensionality reduction, Numerosity reduction and data compression. Practical: 1. Wireless communication of IoT microcontrollers: i. Bluetooth ii. Wi-Fi iii. RFID 2. Demonstration of Data Reduction and Analyse techniques – INCA Tools

IoT IN PRODUCTION AUTOMATION

IoT enabling technologies: wireless sensor networks, cloud computing – Machine to machine communication – components of M2M – Features of M2M - Architecture and requirements of M2M– challenges and Standardization effort for M2M – combination of wireless technology: WI-FI, Automated Storage system,– Three phases – Factory data collection – manual method – Automated and semi-automated data collection (ADC). Control of actuators through microcontroller – motors, pneumatics and hydraulics, relays, interfacing multiple controllers. Practical: 1. Control of actuators through microcontroller 2. Advantages & Limitations in Automation. IoT smart energy management, sensor data acquisition, remote monitoring of devices through sensors and internet, IoT online analytic service - Thingspeak.
